Washington School Parent, Teacher Association (PTA)
The Washington PTA raises money to support many programs at Washington. PTA supplies scholarships for after-school classes in art, dance, chess, flutes etc. PTA pays for YMCA swim lessons for all students from kindergarten to third grade, sponsors field trips, assemblies, provides money for teacher supplies and supports social and after school events. Wednesday mornings the PTA hosts a coffee hour across from the office and many members and parents stop by to catch up with each other. Meetings are a place where information between parents, teachers and the principal can be shared.
Ways to support Washington School and the Washington PTA
Please help the PTA meet our fundraising goals so that we can accomplish our mission to provide parents with better information about the school and sponsor educational and enriching programs for our kids.
Direct Donations
Make a direct donation of between $20 and $50 per child attending Washington (more if you can, of course!). Make the check out to Washington PTA and drop it in the white PTA lockbox in the main office, or mail it to the school.
Sign up for Escrip
Escrip costs you nothing except the 5 minutes it will take
to register your ATM, grocery, and credit
cards. Once you sign up, eScrip is automatic. Merchants contribute to Washington PTA based on a percentage of your purchase, somewhere between 1% and 5%.
To sign-up, go to www.escrip.com and click the Sign Up link. Then search for Washington PTA by name or by the PTA eScrip ID, 137657765. Click here for a shortcut.
If you don’t have internet access, pick up an eScrip enrollment form on the table across from the office. Fill out the form and mail it in as instructed or put it in the white mailbox across from the office.
If you're already signed up for eScrip, periodically check to see if your information is up-to-date and if your cards are still earning money for the Washington School PTA. You can check and update your information at the the eScrip web site by signing in through the my eScrip link.

Berkeley Bowl Scrip
Shop at Berkely Bowl and have 4% of every purchase go to the Washington School PTA. You can purchase Scrip at most Wednesday morning coffee hours.
Join the PTA
Become a member of the PTA—you can join at anytime.
Pick up an envelope at the PTA corner across from the main office, fill it out and include a $5.00 check ($10 for two) to the California State PTA.
Your PTA dues support state, district, council and school levels of the PTA.
Reminder: PTA memberships must be renewed every year.
